My Calling

Psalm 68:5 Father to the fatherless; defender of widows - this is God whose dwelling is holy. v6 God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.

Father to the fatherless;

Over and over again God has spoken to me directly by his Holy Spirit, through scripture and  by prophetic words from brothers and sisters in England and in Africa; that I am to be as a father to the fatherless AND importantly to ensure that everyone I meet knows, through me, that they have a Father in heaven who loves them.

Defender of widows:

There are numerous widows in Uganda; currently the ones that God has put on my heart to help are the ones living in our slum community with young children. Setting up a widow in a small business such as, selling tomatoes and onion  or charcoal etc helps her feed her children and may be the one thing that saves them from malnutrition and early death.

This is God whose dwelling is holy:

1 Cor 3:17 Don’t you realise that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you.

It is at this corporate level that we truly excercise being the Body of Christ. (1 Cor 12) We all have a part to play; some will be front line in Blackpool (home terriotory) others, like me overseas; but without the prayers, the financers, the encouragers, the helpers; we on the front line are nothing.

1 Cor 6:19 Don’t you realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God.

It is at this personal level that I am sharing with you briefly how God works through me, his holy dwelling, to fulfill his purposes of Psalm 68 v 5 & 6

God places the lonely (orphans) in families:

Mid 2013  set up home in Wellspring, Bweyogerere to look after the older Iris South Sudan boys who were being educated in Uganda.

Since then all the IRIS South Sudan Family have moved to Lowero, Uganda and Carolyn Figioli has registered NGO IRIS Uganda. She and her team of Missionaries and South Sudanese Mamas and Leaders are doing a great job with our children.

My IRIS OASIS Family comprises ten young adults from IRIS South Sudan: Safari, Kennedy, Ali, Elisha, Alex M, Anthony, Lawrence, John, James & Kizito; and three Uganda young adults: Stephen, Anthony (Tony) & Anwar; and Ugandan Alex Bwire who works alongside me in mission; his wife Esther, infant Benjamin and baby Mesach complete my family as of now July 2020. Malik is working in Kapoeta, South Sudan. Edward has his own apartment near his uiversity and is quite independent.

He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy

I am Missiaonary pastor of Oasis Church, Kazinga, Bweyogerere and travel with our Village Mission Team throughout Uganda to other Churches teaching the FIRE values of Harvest Alliance. Many pastors, Church leaders and their flocks are prisoners to religion (A form of Christianity mixed with culture, tradtion even witchcraft). I never cease to be amazed at how the Holy Spirit leads me; giving me wisdom to deal with issues about which I have no previous experience or knowledge.
